  • QuestionCan the temperature be set and stay at 0 degrees?

    Asked by Azzole.

    • Answer Hi Azzole - This chest freezer does not have an electronic temperature control. It can be set from Minimum to Maximum. Setting the control to MIN is the warmest setting. Setting the control to MAX is the coldest setting. Set the control in the middle of MIN and MAX is the recommended setting. View MEASURING FREEZER TEMPERATURES: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=19480 - When adjusting temperature control, adjust the control one step at a time and allow several hours for the freezer temperature to stabilize. Temperatures can vary based on usage (how often lid is opened), food load, room temperature, etc. Keep in touch! Sue

  • QuestionWHERE IS IT MADE

    Asked by TPG.

    • Answer Hhi TPG - This freezer is manufactured globally. GE Appliances products are designed by GE Appliances engineers in the United States. Many are manufactured in the U.S. and others are made globally to our specifications. The country of origin is shown on the Model/Serial rating plate as well as the packaging. Manufacturing facilities (plant sites, where appliances are made) can and do change from time to time because GE Appliances continues to seek the most efficient manufacturing processes available. We make products all over the world for a Global marketplace. Therefore, your best source for manufacturing location is the packaging/product itself. Thanks for viewing GE! Sue

  • QuestionWhat is the wattage or power demand of this freezer. I intend to install it in a camper and use an inverter to operate it

    Asked by Clyde.

    • Answer Hi Clyde - The freezer should always be plugged into its own individual electrical outlet which has a voltage rating that matches the rating plate. A 115 Volt AC, 60 Hz, 15- or 20-amp fused, grounded electrical supply is required. This provides the best performance and also prevents overloading house wiring circuits which could cause a fire hazard from overheated wires. The freezer must be properly grounded. The power cord of this appliance is equipped with a three-prong (grounding) plug which mates with a standard three-prong (grounding) wall receptacle to minimize the possibility of electric shock hazard from this appliance. View FREEZER ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=22554 - We do not test appliances on inverters. Check with the inverter manufacturer on whether that device will run an appliance. Thanks for your interest! Sue
