• A:Answer Hi, Thanks for the question! We appreciate your interest in this model and we're more than happy to help. We do not believe a heavy duty burner is necessary for your range. Canning should be done on surface units (burners) only. Normally, pots that extend beyond one inch of the cooking element's trim ring are not recommended for most surface cooking; however, when canning with a water-bath, pressure canner, or pressure cooker, larger diameter pots may be used. This is because boiling water temperatures (even under pressure) are not harmful to cooktop surfaces surrounding the surface units. We hope this information helps! • A:Answer Hello, thank you for your question. The Sensi-Temp burners will operate differently than regular burners. They will monitor the temperature of the food you are preparing and will shut off and turn back on regularly to maintain safe cooking temperatures. They also require the use of completely flat cookware to operate properly. There is not a brand that we recommend over another, as the design of the cookware is what will determine their effectiveness. • A:Answer An electric range requires a 220v plug. The cord will depend on the plug you have. Some are 3 and some are 4. If your handyman is asking that question I would be looking for another handyman. They should know this. Pay for the install from Best Buy so you will know it is hooked up correctly.
