There's a switch/knob @ front center of range in front of the griddle.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Turn on the burner and heat it - I don't use high heat but if you want sandwiches or pancakes it is great. It is a griddle not barbecue -- so think in that direction. The first time with pancakes, drop a bit of batter on and you can tell when it is ready -- you can also drizzle tiny bit of water and if it sputters you are ready. Have fun Wash it by hand and no harsh stuff- it has a good resist coating that cleans easily.

If your center burner is a single oval burner, preheat your griddle for 2-5 minutes on Hi before placing food on the griddle.
