“I just put my first load in my new washer! I thought I’d try a load of towels and add oxi clean, so I used the sanitize oxi setting… I started at 4:50 and it’s 8:46 and still going!!!?!? How long Dora’s a load take?!?! The timer screen says 6:20!!”

Hello there, we first want to congratulate you on your new washer. In addition, we're sorry your cycles are taking longer than expected. We can imagine how frustrating this would be on you and we're happy to help. We first recommend disconnecting power to the unit for 2-3 minutes to reset the controls. In addition, make sure that you have the Sanitize/Oxi cycle selected. If a cycle lasting this long were to happen again, we'd recommend taking advantage of your warranty and scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to ensure everything is working properly. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737). If there's an issue to be addressed, we're confident our technician would be able to get you taken care of.
