Hi there Nursecathy123cat, Thank you for reaching out. Great question. Most GE washers provide cold rinse water for all three wash temperatures which saves energy without decreasing rinsability. Cold water helps to cut sudsing action and assists in detergent removal. Many detergent manufacturers recommend a cold rinse for these reasons. Some models have a warm rinse capability that is normally used when a hot wash was selected. The only benefit of the warm rinse is the water extraction is about 5% better than w/cold rinse (clothes will take just a slight less time to dry when using a warm rinse). But the energy savings of a cold rinse well outweighs the cost of the slight extra dry time. This model does not have a warm rinse option. Hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
