Hey there, and thanks for reaching out to us! We certainly understand your concern if you accidentally hit that button and are happy to clarify. You should only need to press the Start button to start a wash cycle. If the washer is paused, pressing Start again would usually be enough to restart; if it had time to turn off completely you may need to push Power and then Start. Please note that if the cycle is paused and not restarted within 15 minutes, the current wash cycle is canceled and in that case you may need to start over. On this model, the detergent should be flushed from the detergent dispenser at the beginning of the wash cycle. If you turn the washer back on and the detergent either hasn’t dispensed yet, or has dispensed but the water hasn’t drained, putting in more detergent shouldn’t be necessary.
