Is run by direct drive or belts null

Yes it is direct drive however The unit is great except for one downfall, and I will not purchase this product again, 95% of the time the unit will get out of balance, and to correct the problem one must remove all of the wet cloths from the washer and replace them in the tub evenly to get the last spin to work. The unit is 100% waste of money for this reason. I recommend never to purchase this unit, you will regret it. Wish I could return my unit.
