I was wondering if I can use the timer or is it at all necessary. when cooking, because the oven will beep the cooking is complete, or do I have to ? Right now I am tapping , Bake, then I set the oven temp, then I press start, preheat will display, then once oven reaches the desired temperature, I set timer, and put my food inside,,now am I supposed to use the oven cook time instead of the timer ? I am confused..

You have described the correct sequence when starting the cooking process, but be sure to also press Start after setting the temperature and time; this must be used to start any cooking.
