Q: QuestionCan I use the cord off of my old range? It says the 6-foot range is a 110 and I am thinking mine is a 220 as it has the strange 3 prong plug?

This range requires a 240 volt power cord protected by a 40 amp circuit. Please make sure you have a 240 volt service available for the range. You can also take a picture of your outlet so you know what type of cord to purchase. Q: QuestionIs the slate color like other brands Black Stainless?

• A:Answer Hi Val, thanks for your question! The Slate finish is different than a Black Stainless finish. Slate is a highly engineered, low-gloss matte metallic paint finish and will hold a magnet. This dark matte finish is inspired by the rich texture of stone. The sides, case and accent parts are Dorian Gray (dark gray). - Slate easily complements other appliances. It resists fingerprints and doesn't show dirt. To clean, wipe with a soft clean cloth using a mild household detergent then dry with a clean soft cloth. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael

• A:Answer Hi JamesW, thanks for reaching out! The oven is vented through a duct behind the right rear burner on the backsplash. This will cause that area of your cooktop to feel warm and may even seem to be turned on. The vent area should be cleaned regularly. To minimize the possibility of electric shock, unplug this appliance from the power supply before attempting any maintenance or cleaning. - To Clean: 1. Clean with soap and water or vinegar and water 2. Do not use commercial oven cleaners, cleaning powders, steel wool or harsh abrasives. We hope that this helps!

Q: QuestionI melted a plastic cutting board on the cooking surface. How shall I remove this?

• A:Answer Hi there, thanks for reaching out! We're so sorry to hear about this! Special care should be taken when removing hot substances to avoid permanent damage of the glass surface. Sugary spillovers (such as jellies, fudge, candy, syrups) or melted plastics can cause pitting of the surface of your cooktop (not covered by the warranty) unless the spill is removed while still hot. Special care should be taken when removing hot substances. 1.Turn off all surface units and remove hot pans. 2. Wearing an oven mitt: -Use a single-edge new, sharp razor blade scraper to move the spill to a cool area on the cooktop. -Remove the spill with paper towels. 3. Any remaining spillover should be left until the surface of the cooktop has cooled. Do not use the surface units again until all residue has been completely removed.
