A:AnswerHi - Thanks for considering our GE Gas Range JGSS66SELSS. The range is equipped with 2 Grates and an extra-large, integrated non-stick griddle. Center Grate JXGRATE1 and Slide-in Range Filler Kit JXFILLR1DD are optional and not required. The range is designed for easy installation in a standard 30" free-standing range cutout. JXFILLR1DD is only necessary if you want to cover the small gap on the sides or if you have a rough countertop cut you would like to cover. A:AnswerThere is a kit on the GE website but you may not need it; I thought I would but it slid flush up to the old lip from the previous stove. You can always install the trim later.
A:AnswerHi - Slide-in Range Filler Kit JXFILLR1DD is sold separately at GEApplianceparts.com or visit: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/JXFILLR1DD - Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerHello, thank you for your question. The part that you are referring to is the rear trim piece. The rear trim piece is necessary for your range to properly function as it ensures proper airflow around the unit. While we do not anticipate that you will have any issues with your range, should something occur and the cause were to be from installation issues concerning the rear trim piece, you would not be covered under your range's one-year limited manufacturing warranty. If you would like to read more about this warranty, you can do so on page 26 of the owner's manual, found on the product page on our website. We hope this helps! -Chris@GEA

A:AnswerNo it’s not. It vents out the back. There’s an attachment between the back of the stove and the wall that is a few inches wide that vents upward.
A:AnswerHi HappyandRetired- Yes, the Deep Recessed, Edge-to-Edge Porcelain-Enamel Cooktop is deep charcoal (Black Slate) like the front of the unit. The Burner Grates are Matte Black. SUE@GEA
A:AnswerThis griddle absolutely is coated with PFOA, with Teflon. It off-gases something terrible. We are trying to find non-coated parts for our rental home.
GE is wrong that it complies with international laws, only laws in the US, where such chemicals are legal.
These chemicals have been banned in Canada, for example, since 2016.
