I’d say you may want to call for service on that from GE while it’s in warranty - I purchased the same range back in November and it has a very strong seal when closed (as an adult I can open with one finger but just barely as it take a lot of effort) so I’d assume it shouldn’t be as easy to open as you are mentioning
