Great buy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This gas range is a great buy for the money. The burners are quick to ignite, the oven roomy and food bakes evenly. The griddle is perfect for making pancakes. The only thing I have a little concern is the touch panel. My touch panel plastic came bubbled in two corners. The plastic seems like it may not withstand cleaning it over time. A clear plastic coating would have been better to ensure the integrity of the panel. But overall this is a great buy.

Best bang for your buck!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I havent had a oven for a few years since my last one broke. I finally pulled the trigger and adulted. After countless hours of research and reading reviews this is the model I chose. I must say this range is well worth it. The bakeing features are great, it warms up so fast. The wifi control through the app is a great feature to start the oven so its ready when I get home or being able to view the temperature and cook time from the other room without having to go check it. It looks great and you can tell its not cheap quality. I would definitely buy this again if I had to. The only thing I did to it was to season the cast iron racks on the stove. This really helped especially since thats what I cook with its cast iron.

Good but missing a few things
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this range..however won’t be using the griddle so I had to order the center grate…it fits perfectly but it did cost almost $100 more…also…when you set the time it doesn’t show a count down like my old range. When did broiler pans become an option? If I’d known my new one didn’t come with one I wouldn’t have given the old one away with my stove. Also…no air fryer basket…guess that’s an add on too! Shame on you GE for “cheaping ” out!

Gas Convection Range
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the GE 5.6 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Gas Convection Range and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way! The self-steam cleaning feature is a game-changer, making oven cleaning a breeze. No more harsh chemicals or scrubbing for hours. The built-in Wi-Fi capability is incredibly convenient. I can now control the oven remotely using my smartphone. Preheating the oven while I'm on my way home saves me time and helps me plan my meals better. Plus, the app provides useful cooking tips and recipes, which I find really helpful. The standout feature for me is the no-preheat air fry option. It's perfect for quick and healthy meals. I can now enjoy crispy fries and delicious fried chicken without the long wait time. It's not just a gimmick; it really delivers on its promise of evenly cooked and crispy results. The slide-in design fits seamlessly into my kitchen, giving it a modern and sleek look. The large 5.6 cu. ft. capacity is fantastic for cooking multiple dishes simultaneously, making hosting gatherings a breeze. The convection cooking ensures even heat distribution, resulting in perfectly cooked meals every time. Baking, roasting, and broiling have never been easier or more consistent. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the GE Slide-In Gas Convection Range. It's efficient, versatile, and packed with features that simplify cooking. If you're looking for a top-notch range with innovative features, this is the one to go for! Highly recommended.

GE Gas Range
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been 2 months since the purchase of my GE range. I am pleased with the performance. The only con, which is immaterial when using the oven a few times about (5 times) I am not big cooker and already need to steam clean, this works great! Thanks GE for making a great oven as I intentionally sought American products for my kitchen remodeling.

Q: QuestionI love the center griddle, but can I buy an additional grate to use the center burner for cooking? To accomodate something like a fish poaching pot?
Asked by Disappointed.
- A:Answer Yes, and I looked into that when I made my purchase. The caveat would be the grill burner is long so I don't know how well that would work, even with the proper grate. I would think heat would be wasted on either side of the center. You're better off to use the large "power boil" burner on the left side front. It does what it's name suggests! In the attached photo I'm showing the center burner (lit) proportions. You can also see that room is limited there when pots are on the other burners.

Q: QuestionThe description states "steam clean" for the self-cleaning feature. The specs shows both "steam clean" and "high heat".... Which self cleaning feature does this have for the oven?
Asked by Orangepart.
- A:Answer This is a great question! This range features both Steam Clean and Self Clean. Steam Clean works best for lighter soils where Self Clean can be better used for heavier, baked-on soils. If you have any other questions for us, just let us know! We hope this helps! -Chris@GEA

Q: QuestionI asked if this range requires a 220v outlet and your response was that it requires 120v...Since there is no 120v, did you mean 110v or 220v?
Asked by ML.
- A:Answer The oven is powered by gas. However it does need 110V (from a regular wall socket) to power the computer functions for the oven and the burner igniter. In the even of a power failure, the stove top burners will still work, you just have to light them manually - however the oven will not work because it is completely computer controlled.

Q: QuestionHi. Does this oven run the fan when cooking in conventional mode as well as convection mode? I am replacing a Bosch dual-fuel that runs the fan In both modes - very annoying and noisy. What is the sound level of the fan when it runs? Thank you.
Asked by Searcher.
- A:Answer Hello, thank you for the excellent question. The conventional cooking mode does not utilize the fan, so it will not run if that mode is selected. During the convection mode, the fan will cycle on and off depending on the heat level and to maintain temperature, so the noise level will depend on how often the fan is going. It will also not run until preheat is reached in the convection mode. We hope this helps! -Elliot@GEA

Q: QuestionI wanted a fingerprint resistant stainless slide in range, will this match GE fingerprint resistant fridge/dishwasher/microwave? The description of this range just says stainless not fingerprint resistant??? Thanks
Asked by Merleam.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - 5.6 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Gas Convection Range with Self-Steam Cleaning, Built-In Wi-Fi, and No-Preheat Air Fry - Stainless Steel
- A:Answer Hi there, and thanks for your interest in this slide-in range! We appreciate how important the appearance of your range is, and are happy to advise. The main difference between our fingerprint resistant and stainless steel products is that fingerprint resistant units don't require the use of a 'stainless steel cleaner' (such as Cerama Bryte). While we do recommend stainless steel approved cleaning products for this range, if you use such a product you should be able to keep the range looking just as flawless! Additionally, when we designed the fingerprint resistant finish we made it to blend well with our traditional stainless steel models. Fingerprint resistant may have a slightly more satin (less reflective) finish, but overall has excellent color harmony with stainless steel and should not clash in your kitchen. We hope this helps, and are confident this range would make a great addition to your home. Wishing you all the best! -Sarah@GEA

Q: QuestionJust received the range. The oven door seems very lightweight and can be opened with one finger. Is this the norm or can the tension be adjusted? Seems to me that it may be somewhat unsafe if baking something and a child can easily open.
Asked by Marni.
- A:Answer I’d say you may want to call for service on that from GE while it’s in warranty - I purchased the same range back in November and it has a very strong seal when closed (as an adult I can open with one finger but just barely as it take a lot of effort) so I’d assume it shouldn’t be as easy to open as you are mentioning

Q: QuestionCan burner be manually light during power outages?
Asked by Al.
- A:Answer Yes. Ignitor is visible and you can light it manually. Great oven, btw. Works well and has great features.
