“How long are these humidifiers supposed to last? We've had 2 of this 50 pint Energy Star dehumidifier and they only last about 2 years. We have a hose to a floor drain so we don't have to empty a bucket.”

You got lucky. My previous one lasted about 6 months. There should be federal legislation on these. They all end up in a landfill way too quickly.
