QuestionHow do you self clean this oven? It does not do what it explains in the manual. We are having nothing but problems with this oven! The temperature is always off by about 10 to 15 degrees in the top oven the most, and it takes longer for things to cook.

- Answer Hello and thank you for reaching out. We are very sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing. To use the self-clean mode, press the Self Clean pad once, set a time between 3 and 5 hours, and then press Start. The door will automatically lock and stay locked until the oven has reached a safe temperature after self-cleaning. - Answer Hi - Thanks for considering GE! Broil is only available in the upper oven. The most intense broiling will take place in the area directly under the broil flame spreader. This is an area roughly 12" x 12". By placing the pan on the lowest rack position, the broiling area can be increased somewhat but broiling intensity will decrease as distance to the flame increases. - Answer Hi Rooney- We are not aware of issues with roasting vegetables in our gas ovens. After baking, you could choose Broil Hi/Lo to finish or add crispness. Broil Hi uses intense heat from the upper burner and Broil Lo uses less intense heat from the upper burner. Try broiling foods that you would normally grill. Adjust rack positions to adjust the intensity of the heat to the food (vegetables). Also, the lower oven with Convection Bake and Convection Roast use air circulation to improve performance. So you have many options to determine what method works best for you. Thanks for considering GE! SUE@GEA
