“Dryer door is too hard to open and close - anyone else have a problem with this dryer? I have to slam the door hard to close; then I have to use one hand to hold the dryer from sliding around and the other to pull on the dryer door to open. In both cases, I first tried to open and close with less force and this did not work.”

Yes we just bought this and you have to literally slam the heck out of door to close. It’s awful!

I'm afraid Im going to break the door by slamming it too hard. Also the door will not stay open while loading and unloading. I believe that's an issue with the installers who did not level it properly. I'm not happy about this. I just got the washer & dryer on 12/21/22.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just bought a GE Profile washer and dryer, and I have to pull so hard on the door to open it, and practically slam it shut. The washer doesn’t fill enough to wash the clothes. They are total garbage. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.

I am now awaiting service on this broken dryer. When I went to use it got a clicking sound and a message...OPEN DOOR. I believe I'm going to pay a pretty hefty fee to fix this dryer and may be due to this hard to open and close door and the fact that I have to slam it for it to close. Won't even get into the crappy matching washer from GE...without an agitator it easily goes off balance...no more GE for me!!
