Electric dryer power cords are sold separately to ensure that they comply with all state and local wiring codes. These codes can vary significantly from state to state, and even, city to city. • Just purchased a GE dryer from Lowe's in Venice Florida. I was told I had to purchase a power cable, however it came with one. Lowe's said I was lucky. Go figure...
