“Can this be used in a 38" wide window? Does it have a safety bracket for outside bracing to prevent tipping over or falling? Can it be used with surge protectors? Thanks”

Hi B4200 - Thanks for viewing GE Model AHP14LZ! Product dimensions are: 15 1/16 H x 20 3/16 W x 21 5/16 D. With accordion side panels installed, fits windows 26 1/8"- 37 3/4" wide, minimum height 13-1/2". The air conditioner can be installed without the accordion panels if needed to fit in a narrow window. Also, our room air conditioners must be plugged directly into a properly grounded 3-prong wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord or plug the unit into a surge protector or multi-outlet adapter.
