“My windows width is 22". the specs say this unit is 20 3/16" in width. Why do I need a minimum of 26 1/8" width? Will this unit fit in my 22" wide window?”

• The unit without the side curtain frames and curtains is 20 3/16". If you install without the curtains, it will fit, but you will have to make custom curtains or weather seals. I have 2 Air Conditioners installed in this fashion and they both still work great.

• Hi Salt - Thanks for viewing GE! The minimum window width requirement is 26-1/8" with accordion side curtain panels. The air conditioner can be installed without the side curtain panels if needed to fit in a narrow window (22"). Case dimensions are: 15 1/16 H x 20 3/16 W x 21 5/16 D.
