Hi Guy - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE! We are happy to help. After sliding left and right side curtain frames into top and bottom rails, make sure that side curtains snap into side of the frames. Next, extend the curtain panels and use 4 type B screws to secure the side panels in place. We suggest viewing pages 11-12 of the Installation Guide at this link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000462.pdf - Also, for step-by-step video instructions visit: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=39294 - We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Our's came with side curtains. Yours should have them too however they're not brackets. They're curtains to fill in gaps between the unit and window frame.
