Hi Quiet- The dBA rating is 59. The decibel rating on our dishwashers range from 40 dBA (Quietest) to 64 dBA. GE® Dishwasher with Front Controls GDF530PGMBB has an additional Outer Wrap Insulation Blanket and is 54 dBA. The quietest model in black with front controls is GE® Stainless Steel Interior Dishwasher with Front Controls GDF650SGJBB (46 dBA). Thanks for viewing GE! Sue

No. It’s loud and you will need an insulation blanket to help reduce the noise. If you want a silent washer do not buy this one. A “silent” washer below 40dB will cost $850 or more.
