bottom right corner of the menu pad is the button for "surface light". simply push the button for high or low light levels

If the Surface Light or other controls are not working, make sure the control panel is not locked. Press and hold "Mute On/Off" to lock or unlock the controls. Press "Surface Light" once for bright light, twice for the night light or a third time to turn the light off.
