Hi - we're happy to assist with this question about the microwave! This unit is designed to allow for the following 3 different types of ventilation: *Recirculating (Non-Vented Ductless) *Outside Top Exhaust (Vertical Duct) *Outside Back Exhaust (Horizontal Duct). You don't need any extra pieces/kits outside of what's included with the microwave to adjust to any of these ventilation requirements. -- Please keep in mind that the microwave will not include any parts/pieces for the ductwork itself.
