Q: QuestionStill no power to front door

- A:Answer Hi Larry, thanks for reaching out to us. We're very sorry if your microwave is having power issues. We would not expect this for our customers so we're happy to help. We first suggest disconnecting power to the unit for 2-3 minutes to reset the controls. If the problem persists, we recommend scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737). If your microwave was purchased less than a year ago you're covered under the warranty for a free service trip. If you are referring to the cooking complete reminder that displays "Food is ready" on the screen, this will beep once a minute until you either open the oven door or press the Cancel/Off button and cannot be turned off. - If you are referring to the Cook Time or Timer beeper in general, you cannot turn the beeper off, but you can adjust the volume as directed on page 24 of the Use and Care Manual. Q: QuestionI just installed the pvm9005sjss over my new dual fuel range Model: P2B940SEJSS. The range control area has a matte finish. But the mic has a shiny finish over the control pad. Is this correct or do I need to remove a plastic film from microwave?

Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy! NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. - We think that you'll really like the following model. Search for it a see what you think: PVM9179SKSS. We hope that this helps! - A:Answer Hello, The top mount has 3 screws for installation. Additionally we had a previous GE microwave and had hoped to use the existing wall bracket but this microwave was slightly taller then the out going one so we had to install the new bracket which sits lower on the wall due to height difference.

- A:Answer Hi Stella, thanks for reaching out! If your replace filter light has come on, it would be time to replace your charcoal filter in your microwave. The red LED indicator will light every 6 months as a reminder to replace the charcoal filter. After replacing the charcoal filters, Hold the Reset Filter for 3 seconds to turn off the Red LED indicator. The charcoal filter that you would need for your unit is as follows: WB02X11550. Q: QuestionIs the outside of this microwave scratch resistant? I am returning a new Samsung because the control panel scratched so easily it was horrible. I am hoping this GE can be cleaned without scratching.

While the control panel is not scratch proof, we suggest cleaning the control panel, wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use cleaning sprays, large amounts of soap and water, abrasive or sharp objects on the panel as they can damage it. Some paper towels can also scratch the control panel. Q: QuestionI have a new GE Profile pvm9005sjss and I'm trying to figure out if the control panel can be backlite. It looks like it is a feature, but I can find no way to turn it on in reading the manual. The controls are very hard to read in dim lighting.
