“Hi, I have a no-longer working Built in GE Monogram ZEB1227SL1SS model. I need the replacement to fit in the same space - I do have a trim for that one so not sure if the new microwave would come with a new trim etc. What are my options? Thank you!”

Screw GE - they will always answer that the trim kit is model specific and you have to buy their new kit. Buy a new trim kit off of ebay for just a little over $100. It is ridiculous that the older trim kits do not fit the new ones. That is why our landfills are full.

Trim kits are model specific, so you will need to purchase a new one. This model can be built-in with a stainless steel trim kit just like your previous model. The stainless steel trim kits for this microwave are JX7227SLSS (27") or JX7230SLSS (30"). Also, please note that your microwave was replaced by a current Monogram model, ZCWK22U2WSS, that can be built-in with the optional stainless steel trim kits ZX2127SLSS (27") or ZX2130SLSS (30").
