“This built-in model replaced my old JE2160SF03 - my old one had a steel platform at the bottom to raise it in the pocket as well as prevent it from sliding back. The new unit does not - did I buy the wrong unit, is the old trim kit compatible?”

• Screw GE - they will always answer that the trim kit is model specific and you have to buy their new kit. Buy a new trim kit off of ebay for just a little over $100. It is ridiculous that the older trim kits do not fit the new ones. That is why our landfills are full.

• PCWK22U1WBB is able to be installed as a built-in using either trim kit JX7227DLBB or trim kit JX7230DLBB. Your old model was compatible with different trim kits. An old trim kit should not be used; trim kits are model specific and can also be updated over time. We recommend using a new trim kit for a new microwave. -Sarah@GEAppliances
