QuestionMy 16 month old ge profile microwave is no working and needs to be replaced. The heating element is not working and cost more than the microwave to replace. I have model number peb7227dl4bb, is this the same as the peb7227dlbb being offered at best buy.

QuestionI ordered Microwave Model PEB7227DLBB and received Model PEB7227DL4BB. Is there a difference in these two models? It is supposed to be a Built-In Microwave but did not come with any accessories. It appears to be one that sits on a counter. Help?!

It's still the same model as the one you ordered, so no worries there! This is a built-in microwave model, but it requires a trim kit to be built in. Choose the finish that you want and the size that matches the size of your installation space. The trim kits for this microwave are as follows: JX7227BLTS (Black Stainless, 27"); JX7230BLTS (Black Stainless, 30"); JX7227FMDS (Black Slate, 27"); JX7230FMDS (Black Slate, 30"); JX7227SLSS (Stainless steel, 27"); JX7230SLSS (Stainless steel, 30"); JX7227ELES (Slate, 27"); JX7230ELES (Slate, 30"). - Answer Hi - We appreciate you reaching out to us and for your interest in this lovely Profile microwave. While this is a comparable replacement model, your existing built-in kit is not. Your current built-in kit will not work with the new models. The optional built-in kits available for use with this model are the 27" - JX7227DLBB or the 30" - JX7230DLBB. To determine which you need measure the overall width of your existing microwave including the trim on each side. We hope this is helpful. - Answer Hi There - The information you provided could not have been provided in fact and was misrepresented most likely as a means for GE to make more money. This after the fact that my built in microwave only lasted 3 1/2 years. in fact replaced it w/ another GE Profile. My existing trim fit the new profile perfectly. My original did not have a label indicating the model # and the GE customer service rep or you could find it w/ the serial # found on the back of the microwave.. Based on GEs poor performance (bad unit, bad customer advice and customer support) I’d like to ask for monetary compensation toward my purchase of a replacement Profile.

QuestionAre you able to buy a replacement sensor cover for this. I put water in a cup to heat and it sparked and burnt a small whole in it. i hate to replace whole microwave. It’s only 2 years old

- Answer Hi there - The cardboard (mica) covers the waveguide system that feeds microwave energy into the cavity and should not be removed. The microwave should not be used for any function if this cardboard cover is not in place or is damaged. QuestionWhat 30 inch trim kit do I need for this model?

- Answer Good day, We'll be glad to answer your question. This model has a variety of trim kits depending on the color you want. They all have model numbers beginning with JX72 either in 27" or 30". The colors available are BLTS (Black Stainless), FMDS (Black Slate), SLSS (Stainless Steel), or ELES (Slate). Just combine the numbers and letters of the combination you want and that will be the model number you need. For example JX7230FMDS (30" Black Slate). We hope this helps. Mike@GEA
