“Whenever I close my freezer door, the ice dispenser door opens and then closes every time (the small white plastic circle where the ice would come out). Is this normal operation. It has been doing it since we owned it for 2 months.”

Thank you for reaching out to us! Yes, this is normal operation. After dispensing ice, a motor will close the ice chute to keep warm room air from entering the ice bucket. This maintains the ice at a freezing temperature. We hope this helps; best regards – Matthew@GEA
