A:Answer Hi Kathy- All cooktops are considered built-in and are installed into the countertop. We offer 21", 30" and 36" wide cooktops. Slide-in refers to ranges. These models fit into standard 30-inch cabinet cutouts like a free-standing range, but with a more custom built-in look. Gas and electric slide-in ranges have no backsplash, which provides a more integrated appearance. Controls and panel display are on the front of these ranges.
