No...there is no overlap...you will need to purchase a kit to add that overlap. Normal tile should be fine behind the stove. Very pleased with the GE Profile.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it does not overlap the counter. We had a standard tile backsplash and had no issues with installation/operation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No .... It doesn't have an overlap on the sides so yes I suppose food could slip down the side. In our case, we have a very nice tight fit and so far, no problem. As far as the tile backing goes, that's exactly what I have also. There's no problem there. Also, we just tried the water steam cleaner in the oven. The 1st time just didn't seem to be enough so we backed it up with a 2nd try. It did the job well. We surfed the internet and found a "COPPER" pan and wire mesh basket for "Air Frying" but haven't used it yet. And BTW, we love this range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not overlap the countertop. It is flush with the countertop. The heat from the back of the stove isn’t that hot when it’s on bake it is actually cool air. I did turn the oven on broil for half an hour it did get warm but not hot. Check to see if your tile is heat resistant to be sure.
