Q: QuestionHow often does the water filter need to be changed? What does the filter cost?

This refrigerator uses the premium RPWFE filter that reduces trace pharmaceuticals from water and ice to provide you with advanced levels of water filtration. This refrigerator uses radio frequency identification to monitor the filter status and is equipped with a Water Filter Indicator Light to inform you to replace the filter, which occurs usually after around 6 months of usage. Q: QuestionMy refrigerator is freezing up and the water and freezer is not making ice why.

• A:Answer Hi Cathy - Thanks for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear of thse issue with your GE Profile refrigerator and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. If foods in the fresh food section are freezing, the refrigerator temperature sensor may be blocked and not able to correctly sense temperature to control cooling. The temperature sensor is located at the top of the refrigerator, on the ceiling above the top shelf. The sensor looks like a dome with slats. Move items so there is 6 inches of clearance around the sensor. Q: QuestionWhere can i find what the temp is in the refrigerator and Freezer? The actual temp at the present time. Not to what it is set at ?

• A:Answer The refrigerator doesn't provide that. You would need to set a thermometer inside the freezer and/or fridge compartments to measure that.

• A:Answer There should be a turn latch on each side of the big bottom bin. You should be able to easily turn to unlock them and then pull the bin out.

Q: QuestionI have model PFE27KSDASS SERIAL ZZ509748 I have found that ice buildup under the cheese tray. I see no leaks but I get this ice. Do you know what maybe wrong. I read the book and see nothing that is wrong. thanks Raya
