The More Water option adds approximately 3 gallons of water to the wash and rinse portions of the cycle. This is a nice option to use if you have an extra heavily soiled load or larger than normal load of laundry. -- If the option is selected before you start the wash cycle, the water will be added from the beginning of the wash cycle and later to the rinse cycle. If the option is selected during the wash portion, more water will be added at this point and later to the rinse. Likewise, if the More Water option is selected after the wash portion has completed, the washer will add more water to the rinse only. Lauren@GEAppliances
