“When stacked, does the control panel for the top unit have an option to be moved to the bottom for access? Or is it controllable from the bottom unit? We will not be able to climb on a ladder.. so I'm assuming there is an option! Thanks.”

Yes, I have not done it yet, but there are instructions in the owners manual that tell you how to set it up and there is a dial setting on the dryer for it. Also, it really would not be super tall without that additional drawer thingy underneath it. That thing raises it up at least a foot and my washer with the dryer stacked on it would not be very tall if I choose to stack it. I prefer having them side by side though.
