“I was told to look at a "Red Label" GE, but I am not sure what that is or if this one is Red Label. Can you explain that?”

Hi there RLB, Thank you so much for reaching out. We label some ice makers with a red label to indicate which refrigerators they are compatible with. But for a range, we do not use anything like this. We'd recommend checking with your local Best Buy for more information regarding a "red label".
