“How quiet is this unit? Can it be installed in a louvered window?”

• Thanks for checking with us. Our instructions are for a standard double-hung window. You will need to modify them for other types of windows. We recommend that you check with your installer. This model is an Ultra Quiet Window Air Conditioner and is truly considered to be quiet at a maximum decibel of 63 and a minimum noise level at 52 decibels. An example of these dBA levels is a normal conversation is approximately 60 decibels, and a rainfall is approximately 50 dBA's. Joyce@GEAppliances
