“box damaged & stored on side.installed unit & does not get cold enough.seems like compressor does not always come on.tried to put the temp to lowest setting & fan on high but temp was still at 68.is this a sign it was damaged before i got it?”

We do not advise to place the air conditioner on its side or upside down. This placement could cause damage to the mounting of the compressor. If on its side or back for more than a day, leave it in an upright position and unplugged for 24 hours.
