There is an internal pump in it that is supposed to pump the water to the back of the unit there shouldnt be any accumulation in the front of the unit. Your pump is probably plugged up. You would need to get it serviced or figure out how to clean it.

Please do not operate the air conditioner without a filter because dirt and lint will clog it and reduce performance.
