“What is the wifi for?”

• The wifi is to operate when not near the unit — if you’re on a vacation, at work, don’t want it to make ice at night. I haven’t had success with with new model GE model 2 wifi — but I set up a schedule with Opal 1 model.

• The WiFi is to control the machine from the SmartHQ app. Turn on and off, Create schedules for your machine to turn on and off, specific days, etc. it lets you know the status also. Making ice, add water, or needs cleaning.
