Based on the Owner's Manual we make available online, the "Cleaning" indicator will flash to let you know it's time to descale the unit. The indicator will stop flashing once the descaling process is finished. If you click on the Product tab and scroll all the way down the list of features, you will find a link for the Owner's Manual. The step-by-step instructions to sanitize and descale the unit starts on Page 7.
