My built in GE Profile PEB2060SM2SS built in Microwave started turning on when I opened the door, yesterday evening. I'm not DIY savvy so I would like to replace it with a new one. Where can I buy this exact Microwave?

Meaning the old trim kit and brackets work perfect! This IS the new replacement for PEB2060SM2SS. I paid $309 plus tax in Florida. This is September 2024.

I have the same exact microwave that Rob had, GE Profile PEB2060SM2SS, and it has died after ten years of service. I checked the models listed by GE as replacements in the original post, but it has been so long that now even those models are no longer easily obtainable. Can someone help please with the current GE profile microwaves and trim kits that are compatible with GE Profile PEB2060SM2SS. Thanks

A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model. Compatible models are PEB7226SFSS and the latest model PEB7227SLSS. The door design has changed and will match the latest wall ovens and ranges. I just replaced it with Model:GCST20S1WSS and with some minor adjustments to previous trim kit it fit perfectly. Best to get a handyman because a regular installer will tell you it can't be done.

Please try again later.(6/20/2025) I was able to install model GCST20S1WSS as a replacement for PEB2060SM2SS reusing my existing 30" Built-In Kit JX2030SM without much effort. The existing bult-in Kit was not a 100% perfect fit for the GCST20S1WSS but it still worked without the need for any adaptation. GCST20S1WSS worked perfectly as a replacement for PEB2060SM2SS

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Affirming what others have said, the best replacement for the PEB2060SM2SS is the GCST20S1WSS. The original trim kit will fit the new GCST model. Even though the GCST says it's a counter top model it WILL work with no modifications. I really like the new model. The picture I posted has a lot of reflections, but you get the point. The small gaps on the sides are the same as with our original.
