Q: QuestionHas anyone tried to clean the stove grates using the self-clean cycle? If food is spilled on the grates does it turn to ash in the self-clean cycle so you wipe it off? I'd like to know if people are happy with this feature. Thank you.
Asked by Hello.
- A:Answer Hello, thank you for your question! Only self-clean (black) racks and grates may remain in the oven during a self-clean cycle. If your grates do not have rubber bumpers on their bottom surface, they may be cleaned in the oven using the self-clean cycle. Depending on the debris, it would turn to ash. We hope this helps! Q: QuestionWill any of the top burners work during a power outage or is electric power required to operate every burner? (That is, I want some cooking capability during a power outage. Old gas ranges could do that, but I am not sure whether this one can.)
Asked by Juan.
- A:Answer Hi Juan- We have great news! In the case of a power outage, you can light all surface burners with a match. However, current gas ovens cannot be lit without power. Check out the Owner's Manual online: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-85221.pdf - For venting, you may want to pair with GE Profile™ Series 2.1 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven PVM9005SJSS or GE Profile™ Series 2.1 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven PVM9215SKSS. They all feature CHEF CONNECT- Three options with a single touch. For instant convenience, choose when to automatically sync clocks and the range burners with the microwave's surface light and vent. Q: QuestionAre the center grates and/ or broiler pan included or are they separate options?
Asked by Pat.
- A:Answer Hi Pat, thanks for your question! The center grate is included with this model but none of our ranges come with broiler pans anymore. Starting Jan 1, 2007, broiler pans, grids, and roasting racks are not shipped with our cooking products. A large broiler pan has the following part number: WB48X10056 and the extra large version has this part number: WB48X10057. Hope this helps! Best wishes. -Michael@GEA
