We don't recommend placing the smoker on top of a mini fridge. The smoker should be placed on a level and stable surface indoors, such as a kitchen countertop. It should be positioned such that it has 4 inches of clearance to the left and right of the appliance, whenever possible. Be sure to position the smoker away from flammable materials and any items that may be sensitive to heat.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I set mine on a wooden countertop, no additional heat resistant material is needed on the bottom. It does have "legs" to create a gap between the bottom and the surface it's sitting on. Keep in mind the top will heat up & has a warning on it to not place items on top.
