“Would this work with an ozone washing system? It only works with cold water and doesn't require detergent. Basically, could I wash clothes in cold water with no detergent or would the machine prevent it due to no detergent being in the machine?”

The Combo was not evaluated for use with O3 water systems, which are not common in residential laundry environments. Ozone can lead to reduced life of certain types of components that are commonly used in most laundry machines as well as the Combo. Testing of these systems for their impact on laundry machines is the responsibility of the ozone system manufacturer.
