Q: QuestionThe model of the dishwasher is #GDT645SSNSS but the Consumer Product Ownership Registration Card that comes with the dishwasher shows the model number being #GDT645SSN3SS. Which is the correct model number? or is it actually the same product. Thanks.
Asked by mjnitro.
- A:Answer Hi there - Great question! Don't worry, GDT645SSN3SS is the same model as what you ordered, GDT645SSNSS. The extra digit just adds some additional information to the model, much like when you add the area code to your local phone number. When the dishwasher is manufactured, these extra numbers are placed on the rating plate and registration card. Should service or parts be needed, these are used as identifiers for the specific appliance. Thanks so much for checking! -Mikayla

Q: Question1.5 year old GE Adora dishwasher flashes H2O code. relaced the undersink valve and connection hose. Still H2O code. Took out the fill valve and cleaned it, hooked itup to water and wiring harness, ran the machine. Water came out full stream. H2O again
Asked by Volklskier.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - Top Control Built-In Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub, 48 dBA - Slate
- A:Answer Hi there, and thanks for communicating this situation to us. We hate to hear you’ve had an issue with the H2O code, even after replacing and cleaning parts; we know this must be frustrating, and regret any inconvenience caused. The H2O code is meant to warn you of a low water situation. As you have already replaced the undersink valve and connection hose, those may not be the issue, but you may want to double check that the inlet water hose/any water connection doesn’t have any kinks. If the H2O code appears specifically during the 1-Hour Wash, it’s possible a software update may be needed. If that’s the case, please call our Service Department at 1-800-432-2737. Disconnecting the dishwasher from power for a couple minutes before reconnecting may also help; this resets the electrical components and can often clear the error if the issue has been resolved. We hope one of these tips helps, but if you are unable to resolve this you may want to arrange service with that provided number; a technician would be glad to examine the dishwasher. If you have any other concerns or questions, we are always happy to offer further assistance, here or over social media. All the best! -Sarah@GEA

Q: QuestionI’m finding the dishwasher has a “normal” cycle run time of over 4 hours. Is that to be expected, or is something wrong with the machine?
Asked by DishwasherCycleTime.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - Top Control Built-In Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub, 48 dBA - Slate
- A:Answer Hi - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE! We are happy to address your concern regarding cycle times. It is normal for some dishwashers to run for up to two hours or more under certain conditions and on certain models. On select models, the timer display or dial will stop for long periods (up to 1/2 hour) during the wash and dry cycles while the heater is activated. On models featuring Auto Hot Start, the cycle may be extended up to 20 minutes while the dishwasher heats the water. This time will vary depending on the temperature of the water coming in to the machine. Cycle time may also vary on models with clean sensors due to the sensor extending or decreasing cycle time and number of fills based on the soil level. In recent years, there has been changes to federal water and energy efficiency guidelines, which means dishwashers use less water and less energy to run. In fact, many dishwashers are Energy Star rated, so they surpass standard energy guidelines. Dishwashers now run longer to ensure good wash performance, but they use less energy while running. Also, in using less water, your water heater does not need to provide as much hot water and therefore is not using energy to heat more water. Adding options will increase cycle times. For example Dry Boost may add up to 64 minutes to the cycle time. Bottle Jets increases the time that the bottle jets are on and may add up to 23 minutes to the cycle time. Wash Temp Boost increases the temperature to help clean heavily soiled dishes and will increase the cycle time by 20 to 50 minutes. We suggest viewing pages 7-8 of the Use and Care Manual for cycle and options times: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-4000214-1.pdf - Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com.
