I purchased a geek squad DJI FPV drone for a deep discount ($635) 5 months ago. After inspecting the drone I looked to be new, no scratches or wear, however I did have one problem. When I tried to arm the drone (make propellers spin) I would get an error message that the battery was not an official DJI battery. After doing some research this seemed to be a problem other people experienced in general. I contacted DJI and they had me send the battery in for replacement. The process took about a week. DJI sent me back a brand new battery. Everything has been working excellent since. I think the warranty and/or the return policy is a little different when purchasing a geek squad drone but I was willing to roll the dice and I feel I won. I would purchase again if given the chance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. After my experience the simple answer is no, however if you are able to somehow get the DJI refresh care to cover your purchase then maybe. The problem is the refurbished drones have previously been activated so they likely wont qualify for DJI refresh care. In my case the one I purchased was activated 18 months ago which is also outside the one year warranty. Mine had a problem, so now I have a broken drone that DJI won’t cover and Best Buy says talk to DJI. Learn from my expensive and stupid mistake.
