YES. THE BUTTON ON THE SIDE WILL TURN THE CONNECTED DEVICE ON AND OFF.

When you plug your light or other device into the Spot you turn on the on/off switch on your device. The Spot also acts like an on/off switch controlled by voice through Alexa or Google. When you push the button on the Spot, it turns the Spot off and your device comes on and is then just a manual device. Push the button again and your device goes into the off mode and it is again controlled by voice.
