• No. But you will be able to set up a on/off schedule., as well as check if the switch is on via the phone app. You can then turn the switch off if you forgot to unplug your curling iron. I purchased this plug for exactly the same reason. My wife would always call me on her way to work and ask me if she unplugged her curling iron. Bought the Geeni, problem was solved.
