• The pre-filter can be rinsed, but not the HEPA filter itself. The ones I buy come with more pre-filters than filters, so there's really no need to rinse them out.

• The filter will need to be replaced every 6 months and vacuumed off once a month. We do suggest getting any part of the filter wet.
