I've had mine for a couple weeks now and the fan noise is minimal. I run Skyrim on the highest graphics setting and I notice the fan after a couple hours use, but it is not loud. I have gotten a cooling pad and now I only hear the cooling pad fans and never hear the laptop fans. So far I love this thing.
