This laptop is highly upgradeable and if your old laptop's drive is an M.2 yes, there are extra places to install it. Alternatively you can buy a fairly cheap external dock for an M.2 drive (get the right version) and you can clone/copy your old drive to an m.2 and transfer it. I would also install more RAM. You might be able to install an older SSD drive...just not sure, but I would buy the external dock. It is always useful for drive recoveries from a dead PC, and means you can keep your old drive on a shelf as a recovery drive.
