I was looking for the Nvidia Control Panel to achieve this. Right-click the screen does not show it as I would expect. It turns out there is a "Show more options" at the bottom. Clicking on that menu brings out the Nvidia Control Panel, where one can switch the graphics card preference from "auto select" to the dedicated graphics card. This solved the problem - graphics performance from poor to good.

You should see two items, one for each graphics card. Right click on the integrated graphics and disable it. Make sure the other card is listed/enabled there and you should be good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi INuser123, The discrete GPU will enable when a GPU demanding task opens up. Otherwise the Intel UHD gpu will remain active to save battery life and save on cooling. Hope this helps! - John
